Only just discovered this- wish it was still going!
Who knew crime and food would generate so many interesting topics? Not me! A happy surprise!
Great podcast! Give it a listen :)
Can’t believe you didn’t mention the Pauly Shore movie, Biodome!
I’m not usually into true crime, but my mom and I love discussing food & nutrition so when I stumbled on this podcast I knew it would be something we could enjoy together. However, I did not expect to enjoy it so much that I binged episodes by myself! 😂
The hosts have a lovely rapport, their research efforts show, and I personally enjoy hearing stories that have often flown under the radar. Unsavory is a 💎 in the rough.
A search for podcast episodes about Mad cow disease lead me here. My new favourite podcast I binged it all week long whilst working. You can tell it’s so well researched, and the hosts have great banter 🤪 If you love learning about food scandal and food related crimes please give it a go! I’m in the UK so many of the episodes were on subjects totally new to me, so interesting. If you loved rotten on Netflix, this podcast is ya vibe💚
This is such an interesting show! It seems like it would be a little niche/inside baseball — dietitians! — but it’s not at all. It’s accessible and educational, and also a lot of fun.
Great podcast - one of my absolute favourites!!!!! So well researched!! All the best with your baby - lucky you’ve already researched the grubby ethics of formula companies …
As a fellow RD, I just love love love love this podcast. It’s educational, research based, and makes you say 🤔 😳 and 😂.
This is one of the best podcasts out there. True crime is true crime whether food related or not. And as someone who also loves food this podcast really delivers all around. The topics are super interesting and educational and you’re always in for a relatable discussion with Becca and Sarah.
A+ Entertaining! The idea of combining true crime and food conspiracy is very interesting. Fun and addicting podcast.
I like the podcast. I love that when they don't know something they edit the podcast to pause the discussion and explained us what they found once they searched the "I don't know" part. Usually, I hate discussion podcasts because they laughed all the time and too loud, tell inside jokes I don't understand, get way off topic but this one is nothing like that.
It’s so refreshing to hear your science-based podcasts when there’s so much hype and bias about food and nutrition in popular culture. Plus, you guys have a great rapport!
I love this show and find it so informative and entertaining. There is one episode though that I thought could have had better research. The alternative medicine/Goop episode. You can’t really speak on practices that you either haven’t fully researched or tried. I believe in both science and alternative health practices. Maybe bc I live in the states, specifically California but Reiki is starting to be incorporated into hospitals such as reiki attuned nurses/nurse practitioners to administer tre... more
Becca and Sarah do a great job of researching and presenting the information. I enjoy their story telling and their conversations add value to the story. The way they start the podcast is very professional.
While I love true crime and murder stories. It is refreshing to hear something about true crime that is not always about death.
Great job girls! I look forward to your future episodes!
