I think this work has a lot to contribute to the way that we think about early Jewish eschatology and its relation to other writers like Paul, particularly through a liminal approach.

Part of what I tried to do in this study is imagine and construct what it might have looked like to be a member of this group, looking at their imagined world and shared constructs.

The early ideas for this project really started in a seminar on time that I had at Rice University where I developed an interest in the conceptions of time encountered in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
