Josh Korda never fails to bring science , spirituality and politics together and helps me see clearly .
This guy is the real deal. No spiritual bypassing, no massing this or that. Just deep knowledge on the topics he chooses to lecture. Run don’t walk.
I appreciate Korda’s consistent recognition that everything is political and we as individuals cannot meditate or mindfulness our way out of oppressive capitalist and white supremacist forces that degrade our quality of life and the environment in which we live. He’s a true Buddhist that shares the socialist learnings of the Buddha paired with the latest in neuroscience research into how our minds and relationships function. This is an amazing series. I love the format, with research-based talks followed by meditation. It doesn’t feel “woo woo”, which has been my big aversion to the form. I’m sold!

A thoughtful show blending Buddhist philosophy with modern psychology and neuroscience, offering practical meditation, trauma-informed approaches, and discussions on time, self, and meaning. Episodes often pair research-based insights with guided practices, ritual play, and real-world applications for reducing rumination, building emotional regulation, and improving relationships. A recurring strength is connecting contemplative practice to everyday life, while a notable tension centers on the host's explicit political perspectives, which some listeners appreciate for context and others find off-putting for mindfulness content.
