Listening to this I’m so angry! What is wrong with people?! This is why we need to overhaul our justice systems. Shane is truly a HERO, he’s a really good man. Unfortunately so many (most) in law enforcement WILL NOT admit there’s been a mistake even once it’s been proven that the person is innocent! more
For the person who gave it 1 star for there being no closure…there’s actually NO closure in real life so what do you expect? I love very close to Gilmer and Kelly was my age - this was all anyone could talk about when it happened. Very sad that so many screw ups along the way blew this case.
I thought the reporting on this case was really well done. The story is very interesting and it’s a case I hadn’t heard of before. I found it really helpful that the host gives refreshers on the different names that pop back up over the course of the ten episodes. I usually listen at work so sometimes I miss small details. I wish more true crime podcasts would do that.
This podcast was so well done and kept me captivated, eager to learn more. As a Texan, this one hit closer to home than most. Such a tragic story for so many people.
Excellent work by Wes. more
