419 - The Power of the Ex by Dear Sally: A Felicity Podcast
This week, our Felicity expert Deanna Shumaker is back for her final Dear Sally appearance. Also, Elena's dead, Felicity and Noel are awkward, and we finally discuss time travel with Maria.
This week, Amanda Foreman joins us to discuss the episode meant to be the series finale, her role as Meghan Rotundi, kissing Greg Grunberg, Scott Speedman's whispering, and much, much more!
This week, we love Felicity's hair, heavily promote McFarland, USA, and Ben doesn't leave. Also, Jamie incorrectly explains how FEPS made its way into her life.
In this episode, we have an experimental intro, we wonder if Felicity is a stepmom, and Elena has more than one line!
I am very late to this show, having recently binged all the episodes. I wanted to listen to an episode by episode recap and discussion which is how I came upon this podcast. The episodes are too long and poorly edited. Here and there they offer good insight into the episodes, but listeners need to hear what basically sounds like a long conversation between friends to get to these nuggets. Too bad as the show has staying power and if these episodes had been better organized and edited, I would ... more
Half the time these girls can’t remember what they just watched or they get time info wrong.
I’m on episode 7 and not sure I want to continue.
The description has one of the girls describing herself as a Felicity fanatic, yet she can barely remember anything about the show. Not what I would call a fanatic — she has barely more knowledge than the Felicity newbie.
Not only that, they appear to do no preparation for their show and don’t even watch the episodes before recording! In episode 7, a very impt episode, one of the girls literally says that the details of the episode are fuzzy ... more
I really want to like this podcast, but it just feels really judgmental. It’s like listening to a podcast of people talking about a show they hate. I’m probably biased, but maybe they’d have liked it better if they were older and were in college in 1998 like I was.
This podcast is not well researched and too much “I don’t understand” going on. They also talk too much about themselves and random stuff. This makes each episode drag and a chore to listen to.
Episode 418: The show completely fell off the rails during this episode. The whole show is based in reality (except for that twilight episode) and now they’re asking us to suspend disbelief and Felicity goes back into time?!?? They should have ended at the last episode (graduation). - 11/26/17
Episode 315: Senioritis. I love your theme song. I find myself rewinding it at least three times before I listen to the episode. I’m going to be bummed when we reach the end of the series. I hope you ... more
Love reliving my college love of this show.
They don't always talk fully about Felicity, but I still enjoy their conversations. It just feels like I'm sitting with friends discussing my favorite shows.
I love this podcast and look forward to it every week! I started listening before I had ever seen Felicity. The podcast is enjoyable whether or not you watch the show, and consistently has me cracking up.
Love this podcast and look forward to it every week. The hosts are hilarious and have a great easy vibe.
Previously I gave this show a 5 out of 5 stars, but it's devolved a bit recently. I really enjoy everything they have to say about the show, but sometimes it seems like half of the show has nothing to do with Felicity at all, and it's not a very long podcast, so they can't afford it like the Gilmore Guys can with their hours long podcasts. I don't mind if they go off on these tangents, but I would suggest doing some editing to get rid of some of it aferwards, or otherwise lengthen the show a bi... more
I've recently hit a bit of a nostalgic streak with the TV shows I watched as a teenage, notably Gilmore Girls and Dawson's Creek and have found related podcasts to enjoy. However, something made me realize I was missing one of the apt-called by one of the podcasters "HOLY TRINITY" of WB shows - Felicity! I was still in high school when Felicity debuted and watched the first season but could not really get into UNY scene as well as Stars Hollow or Capeside.
One notable expeception was the first... more
I am super happy to find a Felicity podcast. You guys are great to listen to.
Thank you!
I enjoy everything about this podcast - their friendship, the random Gilmore Girls and Friends tangents, getting to relive Felicity, all of it. I've even gone back to listen to almost all the episodes that were released before I discovered the podcast.
I was really excited to see that this podcast was a thing, I have watched Felicity three or four times through and am a fan. I like hearing the presenters' thoughts and opinions on the show. However it seems like there’s a lot of time wasted going off on tangents and taking time to google stuff. It seems like they could do a little research beforehand, for example actually knowing what year the series first aired and other projects the actors have done, basic things. I like the conversation-betw... more
