  • She died for 4.5 minutes

Everything this woman said made no sense medically. She had to have completely made her story up. I do like your podcast but please don’t bring people on without at least speaking to someone with knowledge to validate that what she says happened actually makes sense. The story about performing CPR after the doctor declared someone dead would never happen. Heparin isn’t given to someone who has been in an accident as she described. Totally made up. Very disappointing

  • So happy I found this show!

Never would’ve thought I’d be so tuned into a podcast about death! The way the (otherwise terrifying) topic is approached from such a unique and judgement free prospective is so refreshing.

  • Great for curious and open-minded listeners

Loving this podcast - like the way the presenter lets the guests tell their stories without feeling the need to take over, but guides the conversation with questions and keeps an open mind.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What Happens Right Before Death? A Hospice Doctor Explains | Dr. Kerr (#258)
Q: So what happens in the moments before we die?
The guest explains that as death approaches, patients increasingly report dreams or visions that are coherent, comforting, and often involve loved ones who have passed, with realism rated highly by observers and no universal medical explanation needed to validate the experience.
She Died for 4.5 Minutes—Then Came Back Changed | Kimberely Meredith (#257)
Q: What happened during the near-death experience and how did it change you?
I flatlined for four and a half minutes, witnessed a brilliant light and a sense that I was invited to stay, and returned transformed with renewed gifts and a strengthened mission to help others through healing.
When “I Love You” Comes Too Late with Nacya Marreiro (#248)
Q: You mentioned something about hard term back where we were. What was this near-death experience you had?
When I was 16, I used to surf. I got in the ocean with the wrong board and I got pulled under the waves. I realized I was going to drown, but then I felt a strange calmness and floated toward light.
When “I Love You” Comes Too Late with Nacya Marreiro (#248)
Q: What's the deal with the rest of your family? Do you have other family?
Yeah, I have a mom and a brother. They don't talk about emotions. In my family, we don't say sorry and we don't talk about emotions.
When “I Love You” Comes Too Late with Nacya Marreiro (#248)
Q: What did that feel like? Because if it's the first time you hear that, and then it's the last time you hear that, I feel like that's a weird contradiction.
No, because my dad had a very tough life. So like I don't blame him. I'm not upset with him. Like he did the best he could.
