  • Great Interviews

Loved your Rhett Lashlee interview… You really asked great questions and he was amazing. I didn’t want to like him because he’s taken out my beloved Cards the last two years, but he’s a great dude.

  • Disappointed

It was very disappointing to hear David support the bigotry of TPUSA. Not a good look.

  • Cool it, Pollack

I’ve always been a David pollack fan but wish he would at least feign a little humility in his opinions. It comes off as arrogant.

  • Great podcast. Great guy.

Great insight from one of the best cfb analysts out there. But, DP, yo, don’t send your son to a university started and still run by hypocritical grifters. You and your family, at least from what I’ve always suspected, are much better than that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

College Football WEEK 1 PREVIEW | The SEC's NFL Battle | Kevin Jennings Convo
Q: What did Kevin Jennings say about staying at SMU instead of leaving for other programs?
Jennings emphasized loyalty, the belief that he could still maximize his talent at SMU, and the idea that staying would allow him to pursue big goals with a familiar system and teammates.
Joey McGuire Wants Texas | John Mateer on Oklahoma Evolution | David Pollack Convos
Q: How does the quarterback plan to handle the crowd and environment in away games?
He describes adapting to the extreme crowd noise as part of growth, emphasizing preparation, communication, and keeping a calm, decisive rhythm to protect the ball and execute under pressure.
Joey McGuire Wants Texas | John Mateer on Oklahoma Evolution | David Pollack Convos
Q: What does the offense look like with three strong backs and more 11 personnel?
The quarterback explains that with multiple capable backs and a deeper receiver group, the offense can stay balanced, use more 11 personnel, and rely on a strong running game to keep defenses honest while maximizing play-action and rhythm.
David Pollack ONE-ON-ONE with Iowa State Head Coach Jimmy Rogers
Q: How do you balance offense and defense in your philosophy, and what do you want Iowa State's look to be offensively given the current landscape of college football?
Be multiple and fast, but always execute basic plays with precision; the defense should be aggressive and dictating, using motion and shifts to create advantages and keep offenses honest.
David Pollack ONE-ON-ONE with Iowa State Head Coach Jimmy Rogers
Q: What was your first message to the team when you took the job and what were you trying to understand about their feelings after the coaching change?
I focused on understanding how they felt about their previous coach leaving, then spent one-on-one time with the entire team to learn their perspectives and gather feedback before outlining any changes.
