The team started with two pilots—one focused on acquisition and another on P&L/engagement—then expanded into two data domains (attract and acquire; engage and monetize) with analytics engineering and data science support. After a departure in 2023, leadership reorganized into a traditional triad for analytics engineering, data science, and analytics, while maintaining domain specialization.

Q: What are the biggest challenges you face with AI adoption and scaling data products?
The core challenge is deciding between building in-house versus buying solutions, especially as new AI tech emerges. They aim to build scalable, in-house capabilities where feasible while ensuring they can scale and manage tech debt.
