  • Disappointing

I had high hopes but these were quickly dashed by the irresponsible way the Karen read trial was presented and commented on. I was completely impartial and watched the trial with an open mind. It’s a shame this guy didn’t do the same. No place in journalism for people that cannot be impartial and follow the evidence.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lindsay Clancy's Jury Filmed By Woman Hiding WHAT?
Q: What are the practical options if the jury remains deadlocked—retrial, bench trial, or plea?
Options include retrial on the original charges, moving to a bench trial for lesser charges if applicable, or negotiating a plea; however, the path chosen depends on prosecutorial strategy and the likelihood of a different outcome in subsequent proceedings.
Lindsay Clancy's Jury Filmed By Woman Hiding WHAT?
Q: Can the judge decide whether it gets retried or not?
The decision to retry after a hung jury rests entirely with the prosecutor; the judge does not have the authority to compel retrying, and if the prosecutor chooses to retry, the court would schedule a new trial.
Why Nancy Guthrie's Sheriff Changed His Story Overnight
Q: If the notes were real, what does the timeline suggest about the investigators' actions and the FBI's handling of the case?
The timeline suggests early emphasis on notes as potential evidence, followed by a complex, slow-moving investigation with ongoing debates about proofing, access to digital trails, and whether communication channels were exploited or misused, underscoring institutional challenges in high-stakes cases.
Why Nancy Guthrie's Sheriff Changed His Story Overnight
Q: Do you think Savannah Guthrie's note about paying was connected to a real ransom effort or a ruse to elicit money?
The consensus discussion points to the possibility that the notes could be a real attempt at ransom or a misdirection tool; the same IP appeared on the two notes, yet the lack of a body and the timing of communications keep the interpretation open, with experts favoring cautious skepticism about the authenticity and intent behind the notes.
Lindsay Clancy Case: Defense Exposes Gaps in Psychiatrist's Postpartum Track Record
Q: How many patients had you treated for postpartum conditions before Lindsay Clancy in August 2022?
The physician testified that in the early August period he had not treated postpartum psychosis in that month, noting that it is very rare, though he had broader postpartum experience during residency.
