  • Best catholic view on geopolitics

Dr E Michael Jones will help you understand the complex world problems with his keen analysis and profound historical knowledge. Probably the best reference in the english world for geopolitics. I think his only weakness is this kind of a-historical thomism on the solution he offers to the crisis in the Church I.E when he recommends to just go to your local parish and get involved. Your local parish is probably infected with modernism or liberalism and I would rather recommend going to a fsspx p... more

  • Smart but sometimes weird

Jones is quite intelligent and learned and knows a lot about a lot of things. Very interesting stuff, at times. However, he’s very Catholic, which I can’t buy, and beats up on the Jews, who deserve it in part, but Jones overdoes it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The SSPX IS in Schism!?
Q: How should Catholics respond to perceived abuses within the Church?
The discussion suggests a balance of loyalty to the hierarchy with honest dialogue about abuses, advocating reform from within rather than exiting the Church.
EMJ Live 169: Bishop Fellay: "All of You May Be Excommunicated"
Q: Do you think it might be controversial? Do you think that all illegal immigrants in America should be deported?
The host frames this as a prudential issue, arguing that while the Pope has addressed the topic in theory, policy is not being set by him and that the decision hinges on weighing potential harms and benefits rather than a simple ban.
EMJ Live 167: The SSPX Doubles Down
Q: Hi Dr. Jones, do American Catholics have to choose which master to serve when considering the Pope or political leaders?
The host frames Jesus' teaching to render to Caesar and to God as a model for balancing civil authority with divine authority, and reinforces the stance that Catholics should prioritize the Church's magisterial authority over secular leaders in moral matters.
EMJ Live 167: The SSPX Doubles Down
Q: Hello Dr. Jones. So I don't know where to start. It's just ridiculous what happens to Donald Trump with the Pope. What do you think about American Catholics having to choose between two masters that are fundamentally different?
The host argues that there should be a clear fidelity to canonical authority and moral law, stating that Catholics must align with legitimate church leadership and not follow a 'maniac' like Trump, while acknowledging the complexity of political loyalties for American Catholics.
Helpful Ahmadi: 7 Life Changing Christian-Muslim Values
Q: Do you think Christians are suffering because they do not practice the values enough?
Yes, there is a call for Christians to adhere more strictly to clear, concrete moral teachings, particularly around forgiveness, mercy, and the protection of innocent life.

Frequently Asked Questions About Culture Wars Podcast

What is Culture Wars Podcast about and what kind of topics does it cover?

The program consistently blends religious commentary with geopolitics, history, and culture, arguing from a Catholic framework to examine modern policy, empire, and global conflicts. Episodes often juxtapose theological questions with current events, exploring topics like Catholic leadership, interfaith dialogue, usury and economics, and foreign policy, frequently challenging mainstream narratives with provocative, polemical takes. A notable pattern is the integration of religious ethics with hard-nosed political analysis, producing highly opinionated discussions that attract listeners seeking a transatlantic, traditionalist Catholic perspective on world affairs and culture wars.
