What a great addition to the podcast world. I can't wait to hear what Rob comes out with on this podcast. It will be hard to top the opening interview with Paul Young. Well worth a listen.

ACIOS Study
Q: Could you tell me about the ACR study?
Dr. Baker explains that it was a pan-African study looking at critical illness prevalence and care provided in hospitals across Africa.
OXY-PICU Trial Presentation
Q: Was there subgroup analysis for more severe patients?
Not yet, but it's on the list for future analyses, considering the sickest patients may have benefited more from conservative oxygen targeting.
OXY-PICU Trial Presentation
Q: Can one of you respond to Lauren's comments about the difference in oxygen levels between the groups?
The adherence achieved was very similar to what has been presented in adult studies, suggesting clinicians often prioritize oxygen adjustments over ventilator settings, impacting how well the targets were achieved.
NICO Trial
Q: What should clinicians do with this information?
If the routine practice was to intubate all patients with intoxication in coma, they should now consider monitoring them instead.
NICO Trial
Q: Did you get much resistance from the Ethics Committee or local investigators?
Interestingly, the Ethics Committee had no issues and thought it was a fair question and totally ethical to perform the research.
