If you enjoy the Criterion Collection as a business model and appreciate learning about older or more obscure films, this can be an interesting podcast to fill your time. If nothing else, a great informercial for the channel.
Though I admit, listening to the end of the December 2020 episode where the host encourages the idea of portraying police more often in film as the perpetrators of brutality more than the heroes showcases the worst of political view points injected into art. Obviously som... more

I love the Criterion Channel and I think this podcast is one of the best about what’s newly available, as well as recommendations on what to watch. Rainy dayvery likable and I enjoy his guests, especially Michael Hutchins.
