  • Pitch is everything.

Here’s another one where the hostesses have a piercing tone of voice that I have a difficult time listening to. It’s the number one thing that makes it or breaks it for me in a podcast. I almost wish there was an adjustment on the app to lower pitch.

  • I live in Maine, and these 2 sound familiar! Like 2 elderly ladies at the next table at dunkin donuts gossiping about whatever. Sadly, those people annoy me. Terrible accent, voices and interaction. It becomes grating. Oh... And kind of ongoing anger for decades old investigator bias they attribute to misogyny. And... Clearly biased in presenting their evidence.

  • I really like this show -I'm a fan of Maureen's books, and so when I found the podcast I got excited. The stories (especially the hometown Maine ones) are well covered, and always recognize those involved have a perspective and that might color the case in ways that are unfair to the victim or families. I really enjoy this show.

  • Love the sisters , they feel like friends

I am a former Mainer living in Maryland and a true crime fan so I have found a perfect match. I find the podcasts very interesting and love the unpretentiousness of the Milliken sisters. My kids will only let me listen to this show in the car because they think it is funny. “Their sarcasm and profanity sound just like how Mommy talks” (I agree). I also feel closer to home listening to them and enjoy learning about a lot of Maine history as well as crimes. While I don’t always agree with some o... more

  • Refreshing and Genuine Takes

Maureen and Rebecca Milliken bring grown sibling energy to this engaging podcast. There are many true crime podcasts out there, but these sisters offer a fresh approach: down-to-earth, well sourced narratives. They cover famous and current crime stories but also lesser known cases, often tied to Maine in some way. I adore the way they allow themselves to be authentic, commenting on obscure details, bad reporting, and darkly humorous aspects. Favorite episodes include the 2-parter about Maine’s ... more
