  • Pitch is everything.

Here’s another one where the hostesses have a piercing tone of voice that I have a difficult time listening to. It’s the number one thing that makes it or breaks it for me in a podcast. I almost wish there was an adjustment on the app to lower pitch.

  • I live in Maine, and these 2 sound familiar! Like 2 elderly ladies at the next table at dunkin donuts gossiping about whatever. Sadly, those people annoy me. Terrible accent, voices and interaction. It becomes grating. Oh... And kind of ongoing anger for decades old investigator bias they attribute to misogyny. And... Clearly biased in presenting their evidence.

  • I really like this show -I'm a fan of Maureen's books, and so when I found the podcast I got excited. The stories (especially the hometown Maine ones) are well covered, and always recognize those involved have a perspective and that might color the case in ways that are unfair to the victim or families. I really enjoy this show.
