  • This podcast is just okay. There's a ton of ads, much repetition, and while they claim to be giving new content daily, they recycle episodes, but don't bother telling you it's a replay... You'll just catch on when they reference it being a month that was months ago or a holiday break that was months ago. If you don't mind that, have at it. I'm unsubscribing though.

  • Meh

I loved listening to Katie in the morning & evening, but now that Vanessa is doing mornings I’ll just be listening to the night watches. I really tired, but I can’t do it. Her voice sounds like I’m listening to the news & katie’s sounds like I’m just talking to a friend. I love the concept & liked listening so I was informed & up to date, but I just can’t listen to Vanessa’s voice doing it. I wish Katie would do both again or just have the night watches.

If I have to listen to Katy say ‘SA’ one more time, I may destroy my phone….too, bad because the episodes are well researched and interesting, but Katy makes it impossible to listen to….can’t she being herself to call it what it is?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ted Bundy Pt. 2: One of America’s Most Infamous Serial Killers
Q: What made Bundy's method particularly disturbing given how normal he appeared?
His normal appearance and charm masked calculated, predatory behavior; he exploited politeness norms and authority signals to lure victims, which made his actions harder to detect and harder for people to trust their own instincts when something felt off.
Kouri Richins Convicted: Legal Analyst Kelly Hyman Breaks Down Fentanyl Murder Case | Crime House 24/7
Q: Today on Crime House 24, seven, we're unpacking the Kouri Richins murder trial with Attorney Kelly Hyman. Tell us a little bit about your background and walk our listeners through the Kouri Richins case.
I'm a TV legal analyst who also represents victims and survivors of trafficking; I'm here to explain what happened, the legal elements involved, and how the prosecution built their case, including key witnesses and financial motives.
Prince Andrew Arrested: Legal Analyst Mary David Examines the Misconduct Investigation | Crime House 24/7
Q: How could this case intersect with the Epstein files, and what implications might that have for broader investigations?
While the focus is on Prince Andrew's role as trade envoy and related emails, the nexus with the Epstein files means investigators could uncover related information that spills into other charges or investigations, subject to disclosure duties and the boundaries of the misconduct in public office charge; this could widen the scope but remains contingent on prosecutorial decisions and new evidence.
Prince Andrew Arrested: Legal Analyst Mary David Examines the Misconduct Investigation | Crime House 24/7
Q: What are the differences between the UK and US pretrial and trial procedures in a case like this?
The UK lacks a grand jury; investigators and prosecutors decide on charges, plea bargaining is restricted, and the judge has broad control over evidence and publicity, including potential public immunity considerations and restrictions on what can be disclosed; juries are involved only at trial, and confidentiality rules apply to jurors and press alike.
Prince Andrew Arrested: Legal Analyst Mary David Examines the Misconduct Investigation | Crime House 24/7
Q: What does misconduct in public office mean in this context, and what must prosecutors prove beyond a reasonable doubt?
Prosecutors must show that Prince Andrew was a public officer who engaged in willful or reckless conduct that breached public trust, and that there was no acceptable justification for that conduct; it is not a minor infraction, but something egregious that rises to the criminal level.
