  • Not as advertised

Not 24/7. Not even any content now as it’s all promoting their other shows which are just as awful. Avoid!

  • What happened to 2 episodes a day?

I was so excited when the show went to twice a day, but it just stopped. What happened? I’m a + subscriber, so I wouldn’t have missed it.

  • Lacking proper research

I’m disappointed with the lack of thorough research. This show seems to re-report whatever lackluster popular media published, without factoring in whether said initial source is factual.

  • Don’t waste your money

What’s the point of having crimehouse +? So many commercials and so many cross posts between podcasts. I hate that the next podcast will auto play because it’s unplayed but really I’ve already listened on the actual podcast. Won’t be renewing

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Killer of the Week: Aileen Wuornos Pt. 1
Q: How does substance abuse factor into this situation?
Substance use can amplify trauma responses, lower inhibitions, distort judgment, and increase aggression, thus likely worsening risk-taking and impulsivity in Aileen's actions.
Killer of the Week: Aileen Wuornos Pt. 1
Q: Do you think Aileen's short-lived marriage to Louis fell, maybe was her seeking some kind of replacement for her grandfather?
Yes, it appears she sought stability and belonging, but the marriage was brief and coincided with family losses, suggesting desperation to fill an emptiness rather than a solution to her core issues.
Throwback Thursday: The Murder of Elizabeth Short — “The Black Dahlia” — Pt. 1
Q: How might Elizabeth's experiences of family instability and moving across the country shape her determination and goals?
The guest suggests that disrupted stability can either discourage or strengthen resolve; for Elizabeth, these challenges may have intensified her motivation to pursue Hollywood dreams, building a sense of independence and self-reliance.
Ed Kemper Pt. 1 with Andrea Gunning of Betrayal Weekly
Q: What does it say about Ed that he confessed so quickly to the killing?
Confession followed by immediate instruction-seeking from his mother points to a dependency on a familiar attachment figure during crisis, suggesting he may have been navigating a lack of resources and seeking guidance from the one person he still trusted.
Ed Kemper Pt. 1 with Andrea Gunning of Betrayal Weekly
Q: By growing up in this kind of household, do you think Ed was forced to bottle up his emotions?
The host and expert suggest that while Ed wasn't necessarily forced to hide emotions, the chaotic environment fostered internalization of feelings, making healthy emotional expression difficult and potentially contributing to later violent acting out.
