This is the only fictional podcast I’ve ever been able to listen to. It’s so well done that I legitimately had to look up if the cases are real. There’s something about Chase’s/Mike’s cadence as he tells the stories that is easy to listen to and makes you think any of these stories is truly possible. Excellent writing and performance. I was from the Bay Area and had not heard of the rest stop killer before. It honestly took me a bit to figure out this was fiction but I’m still a big fan. I love it. The zodiac appears frequently, which was enough for me!
I’ve been really enjoying this. It feels like a literary podcast with true crime and society in general as the main characters. “Chase” is the best.
