  • I should have listened to my husband (for once!)

I resisted for weeks after enduring my husband talking about it ad nauseam! I eventually plunged in when trapped in a car with him for hours. And can now be found catching up whilst making wild garlic - home butchered wild Dartmoor venison burgers amongst other such homely country pursuits!

I wish I had ‘t held out for so long. Keep it up! Its now my weekly treat!

Frequently Asked Questions About CountrySlide

What is CountrySlide about and what kind of topics does it cover?

Three-country hosts provide a lively, wide-ranging portrait of farming, conservation, and rural life in Britain. Across episodes, topics bounce between practical fieldwork (hedgerows, moorland management, water quality), policy debates (biodiversity nets, land-use frameworks, governance of countryside access), and cultural bits like hunting, fishing, and local traditions. The banter stays humorous and accessible, but the show often sharpens its critique of policy, funding, and media framing, making it a reliable listen for professionals interested in how rural economies, conservation, and public policy intersect.
