I love this podcast. It is a series of conversations between Mal and a different spirit, who is yet to pass on, each episode. I look forward to each persons story - they are really well written, performed and recorded - and I also feel like I have learned a little more about the experiences of those that have lived in New York throughout the centuries without even noticing it. I sincerely hope they make some more.

Every episode features a different ghost interviewed by the protagonist, and each is a unique, captivating character representing a specific subculture and time period in NYC. There's clearly a lot of research that goes into the show, they do a great job of making the characters feel truly authentic to their time. Podchaser5a month agoashimota2I had mixed emotions about this one. It is well done, and the voice acting is really good. It's cozy and a little sad, and the stories are kind of bland, like real life. But after the first dozen episodes, I was left feeling like I would be getting more out of it if I were listening to the life stories of real people instead of fiction. The more I thought about that, the less I enjoyed the podcast. I would still recommend it, it just wasn't for me.

I’ve had a bit of a dry spell with good new audio drama and this is exactly what I’ve been needing. The ghosts in each episode have such interesting stories and great character development. I also love the way that the overarching plot is slowly revealing itself and how we’re slowly but surely getting to know Mal. Fantastic work.
