  • Tom’s new podcast

I hit the play button on Palisades Gold Radio and it reminded me of being a small child where mom brought home a new boyfriend and played it off like he was my new dad. As I was driving I hit the play button and started screaming “you’re not my real dad!” Thankfully, after frantic searching online, I found Bodrovic’s new podcast. I live at dad’s now. He lets me eat pizza for breakfast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Michael Green: The Resolution to America's Debt Problem| Restoring Balance With Bond Market Reforms
Q: How should investors think about the IPO wave and new supply from high-profile offerings like SpaceX?
SpaceX and other mega-IPOs change supply and could pressure prices; investors should assess the relative liquidity, the role of insiders, and the shift toward passive indices while considering overall market risk and the potential for distribution of wealth through secondary markets.
Michael Green: The Resolution to America's Debt Problem| Restoring Balance With Bond Market Reforms
Q: Why do you criticise the current bond-market structure and what reforms do you propose?
I point to the hold-to-maturity asset class binding banks' capital and argue for replacing market-value losses with liquid, coupon-based bonds to free up liquidity and reduce systemic risk, while maintaining capital adequacy.
Michael Green: The Resolution to America's Debt Problem| Restoring Balance With Bond Market Reforms
Q: What are the three factors making bonds interesting today, according to you?
The rise of passive investing in bond indices, expectations that inflation has largely ended and may be deflationary, and the relative risk in equities that makes an alternative like bonds more attractive for diversification and income.
Steve St. Angelo: Gold and Silver Prices Face More Volatility With a Looming Deflationary Crash
Q: What are the key signs you watch for signaling a real shift in the bullion market, as opposed to temporary price moves?
Liquidity indicators in bullion markets, changes in central bank purchases, and the behavior of the gold-silver ratio along with energy-cost pressures on miners are critical signals that help separate temporary spikes from a sustained shift in fundamentals.
Steve St. Angelo: Gold and Silver Prices Face More Volatility With a Looming Deflationary Crash
Q: With AI and energy markets in flux, where should investors look for safety or opportunity in the near term?
Diversification into precious metals as a hedge remains a theme, with some potential in bonds as a ballast in a deflationary environment, while avoiding overexposure to highly leveraged tech bets that could suffer during a downturn.
