  • Need a 1st time hunter on the Pannel

This season, 2021 will be my very 1st season. I’m 38 and I don’t come from a background of hunting. So, I’ve set out on a vision quest to start learning everything and anything I can.

I’ve saved these podcasts so I could binge and write down notes. This podcast is a phenomenal resource. I feel like I’m more prepared.

  • Entertaining and Informative

It’s great to have a trusted source of information on all things deer like the NDA. I’ve enjoyed the Coffee and Deer YouTube show, but now its even more convenient as a podcast. Can’t wait to see what’s to come from the Nick and the Coffee and Deer!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hunting Ethics & Gray Areas
Q: Where do you stand on injured deer coming in front of you at shooting range?
Jason believes it is a hunter's responsibility to ethically take that deer's life so that it does not suffer knowing it could possibly die.
Brainstorming Spring Food Plots
Q: Is there a fail safe where it's just like, God, I want food on my property. I don't know what to do.
You could broadcast a mix of corn and beans and roll it into the soil, which is a low-budget fail-safe since deer love both.
March Updates
Q: How do you decide where you guys are going to put food plots? What's that process look like?
The decision for food plots is based on the elevation change and deer travel patterns on the property.
Reflection and Looking Forward
Q: What are you excited about in 25?
I can't help but give it a 10, to be honest with you.
Reflection and Looking Forward
Q: Overall, your outdoor experience, your deer hunting experience, what do you rate it?
I'd say, I'd have to say, it was probably 6 or 7, somewhere in there, you know, on a scale of 10.
