Great concept, charming hosts, insightful commentary. A good way to spend an hour.
The best thing to stream since Netflix itself, Clearing the Queue is entertaining, funny, and well worth a listen! It's amazing how well you get to know people based on the content they watch (or aspire to watch). Breaking down Netflix queues has never been so much fun. I highly recommend this to filmmakers, film buffs, casual movie-goers, and anyone that wants a fun new podcast to listen to! Clearing the queue gets a five star review!
A lot of podcasts out there are kind of run of the mill with their concept and execution. Not the case with what Matt and Alex are doing. What is seemingly a benign concept (using the guest's Netflix queue to choose a film and review) is actually pretty cool and initiates a lot of good conversation. I'm a little biased cause I know the hosts but if you are a fan of movies, the podcast is def worth your t... more

great concept with incredible execution! definitely worth the listen
Matt and Alex are great hosts of a great show that helps their friends and guests to clear off those forever stuck movies in a persons instant steaming queue. They have great opinions on film and have some great voices to listen to. Give it a try. I can guarantee you won't regret it.
When I want to give my brain a nutritious dose of podcast, I turn to The Axe Files or On the Media or The Economist. But when I just want an animal-style grilled cheese sandwich of a podcast, with a side of movie recommendations, I listen to Clearing the Queue. I don't know how Matt and Alex possibly can have so many witty friends (who, if I had to guess from the sound of their voices, which I do, I would presume are also wildly attractive) to bring on as guests. If I had a podcast, I think I wo... more
This is like Desert Island Discs for Netflix. By looking at a persons queue they discover a little bit about each guest, it was amazing to see how much you can learn about a person by dissecting the films dumped on their Netflix Queue. Why they thought they might want to watch it, why they haven't.
