Is it the greatest film ever about film making? Is it as relevant today as it was in 1963? Is Marcello Mastroianni the epitome of cool? The Classroom Critics say yes, yes, and yes. What do you think?
Prying eyes, loss of privacy, revealed secrets––these fears are not new. Hitchcock explores these and much more in his 1954 classic, Rear Window. Part thriller, part murder mystery, this film has the Master of Suspense at the height of his powers.
Sometimes the truth is so absurd, one must choose to laugh or weep. Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove is a satirical gut-punch, perhaps because the film’s absurdity may not be as much of an exaggeration as we would like.

Phenomenal work
An enjoyable film podcast without an annoying schtick. The films that are chosen are interesting, and varied. The discussions are always vibrant and full of varied opinions on the works being discussed. The podcasters are knowledgeable but not overly intellectual. I’ve enjoyed the older films that have been reviewed, I would recommend the podcast look at Rope directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
This podcast is a hidden gem. Was searching for Godfather related podcasts and found this. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the three episodes on The Godfather films and found them to be insightful and enjoyable. Working my way through other episodes now and just finished Vertigo after I watched it for the first time.
The podcasters are totally into the films they discuss. No annoying sound effects, intros, ads, etc. just friendly “college professors” mining the depths of film critique without cynicism or pedantry. 5 stars.
Finally! A film podcast with substance! These guys are articulate and actually ENHANCE films with their earnest discussions. One of their advantages is that they talk about films they WANT to talk about rather than forcing episodes about the latest blockbusters. I enjoy these discussions so much that I watched "The Third Man" for the first time just so I could listen to that episode. I look forward to this.
