I’m so pleased to have come across this fantastic podcast. I am not usually a reader of ghost stories but have enjoyed Tony Walker’s excellent, understated, narration so much that I’ve been inspired to buy a few anthologies he has mentioned and have discovered numerous “new” authors. New to me anyway.
My favourite story so far is probably The Magic Toy Shop by H G Wells. I also enjoyed Walker’s own, horrifying story about a couple who meet some sort of daemon/faery folk on while travelling with... more
I love the monologues about the stories and authors. There’s a tone that preserves thehistorical sublime.
Love these stories and the narration is superb!
Just about anyone would enjoy this podcast. The stories are brilliant and fun and interesting, and the nattering chat at the end always makes me feel as though I am sat in a warm quaint parlor somewhere, having a conversation with Tony over tea and cookies. Lastly, as a North American, I would like to personally attest to the authenticity and integrity of his American accent. That is not all, but these reviews can’t be too long. Just do yourself and your loved ones a favor and subscribe.
Tony has an awesome voice and he picks great stories to read -- excellent selection of ghost/supernatural tales and his post-story commentary adds lots of interesting details!
