Too much self-righteous social preaching. And it’s not that I disagree with most of what they are saying, it’s just not why I listen to a photography podcast. That’s why the FPP podcast has been so popular over the years; they stick to photography. And when CCR does it is reasonably good podcast too.
Please stop interrupting your interviewees in the middle of a thought/story. Please also ask follow-up questions/make comments that encourage the interviewee to further the story they are telling. It seems like the podcaster was more interested in getting his comments in than having a conversation or providing a platform for listeners to get to know the interviewee. This is very evident in the Tamarkin episode.
I really enjoy this friendly group chatting about analogue photography. The format is perfect. I love the ‘warts and all’ subjectivity of the team. Unmissable
The worst you can say about this is that there isn’t enough of them.
It’s mostly just gear talk, but that is alright when it’s this good.
Filthy humor and innuendo is just topping and cherry on top of an already tasty cake.
The in depth reviews and passion for photography these folks share is compelling. The eposides where they have focused on a system or brand have really helped me understand some of the vintage cameras and their experiences have been extremely valuable.

A frequent roundtable about analog photography, cameras, lenses, film stocks, and developing chemistry. Episodes mix technical deep-dives (stock choices, scanning, development techniques, lens ecosystems) with personal storytelling, travel notes, and nostalgia for classic gear. A distinctive pattern is the blend of gear history, practical how-tos, and community-focused anecdotes that celebrate film's hands-on craft and its evolving culture. Noteworthy are the recurring dives into third‑party lenses, iconic camera systems, and the collaborative, often humorous banter among a tight-knit crew, plus thoughtful guest perspectives from dedicated practitioners and shop owners. This show is especially appealing to listeners who want actionable tips... more
