  • Cannot stand Sophia

Sophia brings my rating down by at least 2 stars. Her disdain for the region is so consistantly evident. Please, if you hate everything so much because it’s different than where you’re from, go back to Philly or wherever. Everything Sophia says is a downer and makes this show miserable. She adds nothing of substance, just a rain cloud on the show.

  • Advertising for landlords?

Loved this podcast until they started advertising for platforms geared toward landlords and property management companies. Do better. Tenants are in crisis. Let’s not make landlords’ jobs easier.

  • Fantastic resource for new Yinzers

My husband and I just moved to the city and we’ve made this podcast a daily listen. The hosts and guests are realistic and personable, the “what to do this week/weekend” tips are great, and we love when they cover basic-but-necessary topics like how to drive in Pittsburgh or how to eat out on a budget.

How PA is Your Halloween Candy?
Q: This confection was originally produced with one holiday in mind, but is now made for several different holidays with different shapes and colors. What is this marshmallow treat with the crusty sugar-coating?
The answer is Peeps.
How PA is Your Halloween Candy?
Q: The candy bar with a crunchy peanut butter center and wrapped with creamy milk chocolate has a name that sounds like it was made on a famous New York street. What is its name?
The answer is Fifth Avenue.
Will Gainey Veto His Own Housing Plan?
Q: So how do you think this is going to play out?
The council might support the amendment, and if it reaches the mayor's desk, he has stated he would veto it due to its voluntary nature being insufficient for affordable housing goals.
Can Pittsburgh Afford the NFL Draft?
Q: But the overtime bill for that is going to be massive. I think I read 2,500 officers, just police officers, were used for the one in Detroit, which is anticipated to be somewhat on par with what Pittsburgh's is going to be in terms of people attending, the three days of events?
It does, because we don't provide and we're not obligated in that agreement to provide all of those services alone.
Can Pittsburgh Afford the NFL Draft?
Q: What goes through your head when you hear that kind of stuff?
You know, it comes with the territory, first of all, right?
