  • My Podcast Source for DC News

Solid coverage of DC politics, albeit a little more establishment-friendly (plus other coverage of what’s going on events- and development-wise in town). It’s definitely gotten better in the past year and topics are usually good- I’d say I find something to listen to 3-4 times a week (out of 5 episodes a week)

  • “Like”

It’s interesting content, especially what’s going on in DC this month, but every other word is “like.” Had to turn it off.

  • Great local coverage

I’m a pretty new listener but have really enjoyed breakdowns of hyper-local issues (like the impact of congress’ budget cuts to dc residents specifically).

However they push so many other podcasts into my feed that I’ve considered unsubscribing… a one off highlight of another pod is fine but the *same* other podcasts show up constantly, which is very annoying.

Best Underrated $15 Dates in DC
Q: What are some standout budget date ideas that still feel special in DC?
Arts and culture options like the DuPont Circle Art Walk, free or reduced admission days at museums, free concerts at Georgetown Waterfront or the Wharf, and outdoor activities in Rock Creek Park or neighborhood markets give you meaningful, memorable moments without breaking the bank.
Best Underrated $15 Dates in DC
Q: Are there still cheap food or happy hour or drink related dates in DC?
Yes, but with caveats: avoid misleading 'happy hour' deals that are not truly discounted, and look for places where the regular price is fair or where the experience itself adds value beyond a drink. It's about choosing spaces that let you talk and connect rather than shouting over crowds.

Everyone is grappling with this conversation. All cities have major energy demands. We're all facing a changing climate.
The Best Diners in DC
Q: Is there a reason why D.C. lacks true diners compared to other cities?
It may relate to real estate and cultural ownership, but the enduring charm of diners means the right model could still thrive in the city.
