  • The more you listen, the more you like.

This is a great podcast that covers a wide range of Christian topics, all with the family in mind. By family I mean more than just the nuclear family but the world wide family of God as well. Catherine is an excellent communicator, and an entertaining host, plus she always seems to have throughly researched the topics she covers. The more you listen, the more you like. You will be informed and entertained at the same time. It might just be one of the best podcasts you’ve ever heard.

  • Wonderful/Outstanding

I LOVE this podcast. There are diverse topics, and I love the studies substantiated by evidence and facts. In a very crazy world, it is very important to stay educated on what the Bible says and be aware of the schemes and lies of the enemy springing from cultural ideologies.

  • Amazing show

I am so thankful for this podcast. Catherine clearly spends much time thinking about how to raise our kids in today’s culture. I love her apologists background. She’s answering questions parents have about how to raise our kids in an age that looks so different than our own.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The One Commandment Most Christians Ignore (w/ Dr. Steven Hall) - Ep. 188
Q: Can a Christian go to heaven if they willingly and unrepentantly commit adultery and/or murder?
No; unrepentant, ongoing sin is incompatible with salvation, although the discussion emphasizes education and repentance for understanding what constitutes sin, including the Sabbath.
Exploring the Biblical Roots of Freedom (w/ Os Guinness) - Archive Ep. 95
Q: Explain for us just very quickly, what is the significance of the Magna Carta in history?
Magna Carta is viewed as an iconic stand for freedom and limits on power, but the speakers argue that Exodus and the biblical narrative offer a deeper, universal foundation for human dignity and freedom that predates and surpasses secular charters.
Handing Gen Z the Mic: A Graduate Defined by Christ, Not Culture (w/ Charis Shoemaker) - Ep. 187
Q: Tell us about your inspiration behind the poem They Say.
Charis explains the poem grew from the overwhelming number of opposing voices and the sense that Gen Z is bombarded by both secular and church influences. She describes wrestling with identity, the pressure to adopt various labels, and the realization that true identity must come from God, not cultural narratives.
Discussing Sexuality and Gender with Biblical Clarity (w/ Elizabeth Urbanowicz) - Ep. 186
Q: What is the best way to approach masturbation with kids?
Introduce the teleological approach—discuss the biblical purposes of sex (fruitfulness, intimacy, and illustration of Christ and the church) and explain why masturbation doesn't fit those purposes, while keeping the conversation appropriate to the child's age.
Discussing Sexuality and Gender with Biblical Clarity (w/ Elizabeth Urbanowicz) - Ep. 186
Q: How do we talk to our kids about same-sex attraction while preserving the truth of God's design?
Explain God's design from Genesis and Ephesians, use simple catechetical framing, and address the reality of feelings while steering toward a truthful understanding of marriage as God's design.
