This podcast provides excellent insight and effectively articulates the struggles that I am experiencing in year 1 of teaching band. After listening to each episode I feel seen and calm.
As a young band director, I enjoy listening to two veteran teachers talk about music and teaching. I am able to find something that I can apply to my own teaching every single episode. Excellent podcast that I recommend to every teacher.
My kid is fortunate to have both of these gentlemen as his teachers. This podcast is another great angle from these two. I appreciate knowing their challenges as educators. And they’re pretty funny.
I came over to Apple Podcasts and subscribed after I saw the guys on “the TikTok.” Always an enjoyable listen. As a first-year music educator, this podcast offers valuable insights and perspectives that I find myself thinking about as I teach on a daily basis!
I’m a former student of concord hs. graduated in 2021. It’s so awesome to see the different point of view from the teachers side vs. the students side. Marching band for me was an escape from all the bad in my life. both of these guys are excellent educators and very talented. never stop doing what you do, because you guys really impact our lives. i always tell my friends, “you always have a choice” - my jazz band teacher always told us that, and he’s right. you guys are awesome!
