  • Great show Charlie!

Really loving the new show with Charlie. Well produced. Not overly long. Post-game call-in works well.

  • Great game Highlights!

I enjoy this podcast and if you’re a Hawks fan, I recommend it to you. The weekly updates run about 40-45 minutes, but the post game highlights are 5-6 minutes, with all scoring.

  • A lot of irrelevant Steve Cochran Spam.

For whatever reason there's all this Steve Cochran stuff on this feed. He's not bad, but it's not blackhawks content. I know there's a ton of Blackhawks content on WGN. I wish they would publish it here.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Will Patrick Kane be the next captain of the Blackhawks?
Q: Who will wear the captain's C, and what role will Kane play in leadership?
Bedard is the likely captain, with Kane expected to wear an A, creating a dynamic where a young core is supported by a veteran leader who can raise the team's ceiling while still allowing Bedard to lead by example.
Will Patrick Kane be the next captain of the Blackhawks?
Q: What do you think about the two-year deal?
The two-year term signals that the Blackhawks want Kane to help push for playoffs this season and next, not just be a short-term return. It also implies Kane's commitment to helping elevate the team during a pivotal rebuilding phase.
Will Patrick Kane be the next captain of the Blackhawks?
Q: Were you surprised, Charlie? Did you think this would happen?
Yes, Kane returning to Chicago was a surprise in the sense that the organization had signaled a rebuild, but the move made sense as Kane could help elevate the team back into playoff contention, and it sets up an interesting leadership dynamic with Bedard. Roumeliotis frames Kane as a serious, non-victory-lap addition who still has plenty to contribute.
Anton Frondell scores twice in Blackhawks’ loss to Hurricanes
Q: What stood out about the Hurricanes and the way they played tonight?
They played really fast, and their forecheck was relentless. They were aggressive and we didn't respond with enough pace or battles, which is something we need to improve on.
Anton Frondell scores twice in Blackhawks’ loss to Hurricanes
Q: How does it feel getting your first multi-goal game tonight?
I love to score and it's the best feeling, but it hurts to lose, so it's bittersweet. Scoring two goals is great, but the team didn't come away with the win, which matters more to me.
