  • Underrated

Carbface with Laurie and Chris is amazing. Episodes include a rewatch of the French Chef, all things Stanley Tucci, and Cliss. Fun guests make appearances from time to time. You may develop a Hi-Chew dependency.

  • I will never see Ham Salad and Turkey Pot Pie the same

So, I have a confession—I was not the target audience when the podcast began. I do not share the love of candy as Laurie and Chris do.

This makes me sad. But, I do have IBS and my first embarrassing moment with such a “syndrome” came after consuming too much candy.

But, I’ve listened to every episode and can appreciate candy-talk (with no exit issues). More than that, I live in an area that does not encourage potty talk and profanity (as Chris would know—I live the county over from where he ... more

  • Get strange looks on the subway

...as you listen to Carbface, laughing maniacally, because what else can you do if you are not made of stone? As a mom (which I am not), this podcast is the incarnation of my favorite child and my juvenile delinquent stoner kid. The only drawback (for my health) is that every time I listen, I end up going to buy candy afterward--though getting to hear about Cliss, Foodtown, and the many unholy things that can be done to yogurt are worth the sugar crash.
