I met Mr Hoy by chance in November of 2018. I was at Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico for the Sandhill Cranes. This was my first experience photographing cranes. Dozens of folks were there doing the same. Mr Hoy - even though I had just met him - gave you the feeling of talking to an old friend. He quickly got me up to speed on how to catch the cranes in flight. I’m happy to find him sharing more of his photography/ world wisdom here on his podcast.
