I live in New Hampshire, but make several trips down to the Outer Banks to fish. This program is informative and entertaining, and I also found out about a couple of the local. Shops, restaurants, etc.. when I’m not on the Outer Banks it’s just great to listen to on my way to work and keeps my brain on the beach. Cheers.
Cpt Marty is a local treasure. Great stories and wonderful sense of humor. But Justin and his phony radio voice just grates your eardrums and patience. Tries being folksy and sounds hokey instead. Bring back Jody from the radio days!

A practical, geography-forward show focused on Outer Banks fishing conditions, seasonal patterns, and live reporting from marinas, charters, piers, and beaches. Episodes blend real-time bite news (king mackerel, bluefin tuna, blackfin tuna, speckled trout) with practical how-tos, gear tips, and local lore from fishing communities. A recurring strength is Capt. Marty Brill's storytelling and long-standing local knowledge, which helps listeners plan trips, book guides, and understand shifting weather and water conditions. A notable edge is the mix of heartfelt holiday stories, long-running traditions, and community moments that give the show a distinctly regional flavor beyond standard reports.
