  • A great podcast for horse owners!

I love the breadth of topics covered across the various episodes, which are themselves a balance of topical conversation and practical advice.

I find Shelley’s approach towards horsemanship extremely measured - underpinned by a strong scientific knowledge base, then further shaped and finessed by empirical evidence and lived experience.

Shelley is curious and humble - interrogating each guest (in the nicest possible way) to maximise the information exchange each week.

I look forward to seeing... more

  • One of my favourite podcasts

This is one of my favourite horse-related podcasts. It’s awesome learning from Shelley and Kat’s extensive knowledge and expertise, and their insightful interviews with such a broad range of guests. They have introduced me to more excellent horse people including Tami Elkayam, Nahshon Cook and Kerry M Thomas.

    Highly recommended.

  • Fabulous Information With Interesting Speakers

This is such a great podcast. Shelley and Kat are interesting and well spoken. They clearly discuss a wide range of topics that help to build better relationships between people and their horses. I love how honest and vulnerable they are when they share their own experiences. Lots to enjoy and top level guests also invited on the show regularly.

  • Ok

Would be a good podcast if Shelly would stop talking over everyone & speaking in such a patronising know it all manner. Some interesting content, has potential to be excellent

100. Learning Horses the Hard Way (and Why It Worked)
Q: What was the turning point that convinced you Sally could become a riding horse, despite her initial challenges?
Seeing incremental improvements through reboot protocols, vet input, and hoof care, plus Stacey's persistence in testing and refining strategies, convinced them progress was possible.

Q: How did your military and cheerleading background influence your approach to learning and problem solving with Sally?
The background fostered teamwork, risk management, precise practice, and the willingness to question systemically, which shaped a methodical, evidence-based approach to training.

Q: What is your elevator story?
A horse handler and a horse educator, I suppose, the people who educate are part of the time, two months out of every three. And then I worked for the Coonamundra Show, I read in the water meter for the other third.
