Full disclosure: as someone who has occasionally gone to eBay to find the Micronauts I had when I was 8, I’m clearly in the target audience. But this is a really well-done podcast. With the wrong hosts, this subject matter could easily devolve into another “hey remember that” kind of thing—but these guys are prepared, organized and articulate. This isn’t surprising as Mark Begley has been doing this for a while on his excellent Wake Up Heavy show and guest spots on The Projection Booth.
The podcast I didn’t know I needed in my life. Many shows can talk about toy, pop culture, comic and movie news and give opinions about things. This show does something I wasn’t expecting it to. It talks about the roots of what made fans become the fans they are today. It’s a storytelling Time Machine that might make you realize you had something similar to what they’re talking about and you forgot how important or special it was to you until this show cleared the cobwebs from your memories.
