  • Why you react exactly like your mother

Epigenetics and IFS parts work in one show episode. Fantastic. Great overview and taster. Achievable techniques for self-exploration with plenty of literature for guidance as well. Thank you.

  • Love the empathy fatigue ep!

Lol this is so good. Sometimes I do feel like my friends can just load their problems onto me but this has given me great language to use when I don't have the time or emotional capacity. Thank you!!!

  • Grief episode did not land

I appreciate the idea of the latest grief episode. However it really lacked substance and washed over a lot of the significant and complex parts of grief. As someone who is 3 months into their grief, I found this ep not very helpful, almost triggering. The upbeat delivery from the hosts almost felt “sugary” for such a deep and complex topic.

Right idea, but not enough research and care to execute what could have been a really helpful episode

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Manosphere Is A Scamosphere (And This Is How You Fight It)
Q: What practical steps can parents and mentors take to have non-judgmental conversations with the boys and men in their lives?
Stay curious, arrive without judgment, use the long-game approach, set boundaries when needed, model therapy and self-care, share personal stories, and encourage accountable, compassionate behavior through small, consistent actions over time.
The Manosphere Is A Scamosphere (And This Is How You Fight It)
Q: What are the most dangerous ideas young men absorb from the Manosphere?
The rapid glamorization of material success, risk-taking, and one-sided views about gender roles; these messages can trigger unhealthy expectations about relationships, money, and power, and act as gateways to more harmful content if not checked.
The Manosphere Is A Scamosphere (And This Is How You Fight It)
Q: What is the Manosphere, and why is it so influential online?
It's a self-perpetuating ecosystem that packages simple, provocative messages about dominance and success in a way that's easy for young men to consume, which can lead to harmful beliefs and behavior, despite some snippets of good advice.
Catching Feelings In Your Situationship? We Got You.
Q: What are some concrete tools you give people to assess whether their current situationship is healthy or unhealthy?
Tools include a self-review of authenticity and communication with oneself, evaluating whether needs are being met, and inspecting how one shows up in conflicts. If misalignment persists, consider therapy or facilitated conversation to articulate needs and assess willingness to adjust.
The 'Understanding Depression' Episode Everyone Should Listen To
Q: When should someone consider antidepressants or medication for depression?
Medication can be a helpful part of treatment for some people, especially when symptoms are persistent or severe, but it is not mandatory for everyone. Antidepressants, such as SSRIs, increase the availability of serotonin and are most effective when combined with therapy and other supports.
