  • Grief episode did not land

I appreciate the idea of the latest grief episode. However it really lacked substance and washed over a lot of the significant and complex parts of grief. As someone who is 3 months into their grief, I found this ep not very helpful, almost triggering. The upbeat delivery from the hosts almost felt “sugary” for such a deep and complex topic.

Right idea, but not enough research and care to execute what could have been a really helpful episode

  • I NEVER TOLD YOU THIS.

Im catching up on this podcast and I really enjoyed these episodes between Mothers and Daughters. Respecting the cultural values of their parents, however gently asserting their own choices. As Mary Kalifatidis told Martha

  • So 8 I never told you this

No insight. No resolution. A child can’t tell their mother they have a boyfriend. For how long has this boyfriend existed? A day ? A week ? A month? So much ludicrous breathy co-dependence. If any parent is so negative that their adult child can’t tell them something normal, you have a huge problem. The mother claims her daughter is her “best friend”. Yet this is so obviously NOT the case. The daughter can’t talk to the mother. They don’t share NORMAL things yet are smalzchy and shallow. So so s... more
