Excellent journalism with a caveat. The whole series they keep asking, "why would they do this? is this part of some larger conspiracy?! who's behind it?" But it's not anything so mysterious. It's our economic system. If they just had a short concluding segment on how capitalism incentivizes environmental destruction, it would be less frustrating. So apart from the fact that that it’s the BBC, which refuses to allow anyone to acknowledge the reason for all this is capitalism, interesting series.... more
Interesting story, love the surprise element of a celebrity.
Main critique is that there were some random slights and jabs toward Lucy that were completely unnecessary. Perhaps if there was the same in return toward Dan it wouldn’t be so offensive, however it was just unnecessary belittlement. Extremely rude. Rather toxic.
The episodes are too short. It feels like half of each are adds / filler or repeated segments of text. In season one there is a particular clip that seems to be repeated EVERY episode. The investigation is clearly great, and the story telling is promising but just let down by the format.
Could have been condensed into 4 episodes
It’s a great subject with real potential for an in-depth documentary, but I found the constant muting of clips and the narration became frustrating to listen to. Good effort
Poorly delivered.
