Not just for those in the South West though, if your city has a hipster area (Shoreditch, Brooklyn, Brighton, etc) then you'll find plenty to enjoy here.
FFO: Portlandia, This American Life, putting sounds in your ears.
Always love listening to this, really enjoyable and entertaining. Would recommend it to anyone. Keep up the good work!
Witty, fun and funny. It makes the long slow trudge to work worth it. More please...!
Sharp, funny, very good podcast! In May be set in bristol but it's more about larger city's in general.
This podcast is great fun - silly characters, loads of recurring jokes and stories. Loved the two-parter, the variety etc. Also does a good job of pulling apart the tropes of the podcast world, and city-life in general. If you like podcasts and comedy give this a shot!
Really enjoyed this - satirical and silly, definitely worth a punt!
Lots of laughs - looking forward to more eps
If you’re a fan of mouth trumpeters, pretentious porridge shops or mediocre film nights, this is the podcast for you. Even if you don’t like those things give it a whirl anyway and prepare to have the boundaries between news and fiction blurred before your very ears.
This podcast is loads of fun. Very silly, plenty of satire and loved the This American Life style documentary at the end. Listen!
A faux local cultural podcast that distills its news and reportage through a sly filter of arch comedy, akin to The Armando Iannucci Shows and plucking its inspiration for current affairs - not just at a Bristolian level. Based on this first - highly entertaining - episode, it crams a lot into its running time, with an assortment of odd figures played by a small rep of performers. Good stuff indeed!
A great example of a local podcast that does everything right. Funny, informative and essential for any Bristol comedy fan or just Bristol fan! Love it on my walk to work
This podcast is funny! As an adult mail man living in Bristol, this made me want to buy and subsequently eat porridge. I didn't though, because we had crunchy nut cornflakes in already.
Picked up this podcast on a whim when searching for comedy and it's a surreal look at what's going on in Bristol. I'm in London so was a little worried that references would go over my head, but fortunately any references that were in the show were so ridiculous that it's funny regardless of whether they're true or not.
Looking forward to checking out any new ones...
