(1) In a subsequent interview, the primary lighthouse technician stated that there has been a STEEL PLATE installed from the commissioning of the lighthouse which BLOCKS the lighthouse’s light signal on the LAND SIDE of the lighthouse.
This provision for lighthouse design is not unique. Otherwise, residents in the area would go MAD due the the repeated high intensity light being cast UNNECESSARILY over land.
