Overall wonderful updates. Listen to these while driving. Would however appreciate if the Oncology nursing series was on a separate platform or podcasts. When one is driving the podcasts roll on and I don’t want to hear the nursing discussions .It is somewhat dangerous to be messing with the podcasts while driving. (With all due respect to nursing collegues). Also in areas where there is no reception, manually skipping a talk often just causes the connection to drop.

Breast Cancer — Proceedings from a Multitumor Symposium in Partnership with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
Q: How do you manage a patient with hormone receptor positive metastatic disease who is very symptomatic?
In cases of visceral crisis with metastatic disease, I prioritize initial endocrine therapy and targeted therapy, reserving chemotherapy for cases of imminent failure.
Breast Cancer — Proceedings from a Multitumor Symposium in Partnership with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
Q: Can you give chemo but de-escalate and maybe not use an anthracycline based on an oncotype?
For hormone receptor-positive patients with higher oncotype scores and larger tumors, I consider adding an anthracycline based on risk analysis.
Breast Cancer — Proceedings from a Multitumor Symposium in Partnership with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
Q: How do you choose which genomic assay to use - oncotype or mammoprint?
In my institute, if the tumor is greater than one centimeter and affects up to three positive nodes, oncotype is automatically sent due to its extensive data supporting clinical decisions.
