We got a review!! It's ok, with 3 listeners they only come every once in a while. This week Doug and Chris answer some questions on how to train middle school aged kids, what's the deal with daytime running lights on cars, and Doug is offering a free... more
We have evolved quite a bit over the years with our thoughts and approaches to programming. From a birds eye view, maybe not so much. But when we take a closer look things have quite a bit different approach then they used to! Listen in this week to ... more
Nutrition doesn't have to be allll that complicated depending on what your starting point is and what your goals are. This week Doug and Chris talk through some of their thoughts and approaches.
Doug is back this week! We dig in a bit on the concept of boredom in training. The things that work in strength and conditioning are often simple, and over time, can feel a bit monotonous. Don't fall victim to the flash you may see online that is sho... more

Big fan of your programming and platform. We’ve been following it for about a year and a half and needed the change. Hammering workouts day in and day out at a local box was great for a season, but balancing life and family at the same time was tough. When you mentioned 2 strength days a week, etc. I was like man that actually sounds great!
Side note - I was rolling with the geologist dad joke.
Keep up the good work, really enjoy listening to you all casually talk life and fitness.
All right boys. First off, I’m gonna need some more episodes over here cause Stern is off for the summer. Secondly, loved the teens and training episode. My 14 year old Jonny rad is starting to get into some fitness and we listened together and he learned a lot more than I can teach him. And thirdly, I think we need a whole pod of just pet peeves. That section is gold.
Chris and Doug, Ep. 20 on programming was so timely and helpful in providing perspective. It coincided with some of the internal dialogue I’ve had about my training over the past few years, so please accept my sincerest thanks. I stumbled upon CrossFit in 2012 and turned 50 last year, and between family, work, and life there have been plenty of days where I didn’t bring “high intensity” to the workout, but still tried to perform it “with intensity,” which may have just been moving as best as I ... more
I’m so happy you guys are back, it’s been way too long! Since you guys were last on I moved from England to Canada during the pandemic, joined a new gym there, sold my soul for a managerial job and then stopped training all together, and only got myself back in to the gym a few months ago and the intro episode was so good to know life changes for everyone over the years and priorities and perspectives change too.
So happy to have the comforting voices of Doug and Chris back on the airwaves ❤️ ... more
Love this podcast. Our gym follows the Park City Fit programming so I am a huge proponent of what you guys are preaching in regards to training. It’s nice to be able to hear you dive deeper into the “why” of the program on occasion as well. Even more than this however, It’s just flat out entertaining hearing a couple of fitness focused buddies, not taking yourselves too seriously and still discussing some valuable topics and dispensing with some great information. It reminds me of my friends and... more
