This podcast helps distract my brain from my tinnitus. I can listen to a story and fall asleep.
Sleep podcasts suffer from
Goldilocks syndrome. Too loud, too fast paced, inflection changes, midroll ads.
This one nails it…it’s just right 🥱
I use this podcast almost every night... Now, instead of getting anxious when I feel wakeful in the night, I just listen to Teddy's wonderfully monotone voice telling me some very boring information about tractors or fences or something dull like that, and I find I drift off pretty quickly. Thanks so much for doing these podcasts, it's been life changing for me!!
I have tried several podcasts of this type and this is the best one I have found! Your pace and accent are soothing. I have to be careful and only listen to the non-fiction however, as I enjoy the fiction writers you read too much!! I am hooked!
This podcast has gotten me through many a sleepless night. 🙏 My personal favorite episode is A History of Tea. Thanks for all you do, Teddy!

This show specializes in sleep-forward storytelling for adults, delivering intentionally calm, monotone readings of public-domain literature and open-source texts. Episodes center on atmospheric narratives, gentle pacing, and soothing narration designed to ease listeners into rest, often blending light educational elements with subtle sponsor mentions. A notable strength is the consistent, low-stimulation format that audiences describe as highly effective for dulling the mind and enabling sleep, with a broad range of classic stories and essays read in a comforting cadence. The approach is particularly appealing to insomniacs or anyone needing quiet, non-intrusive background storytelling as a nightly ritual.
