I had to revise my OG review. Because I’ve always loved both shows but as I got older Angel has taken the lead slightly over Buffy. And while I still disagree with much of their takes I really enjoy their breakdown of Angel. I’m almost all caught up with them on this series. And look forward to their next series.

I liked the original host better.. he seemed more fair minded, especially when it came to Xander. This is a good listen despite that they are very much in agreement on most everything. I like when hosts have differing opinions it can make for a more fulsome interesting discussion.
Smart funny and fun!
Lots of Buffy podcasts out there, this doesn’t have gimmicks or games, just solid interesting analysis and discussion
Its like sitting at a cafe during college listening to the two smartest guys in your literature class discussing their favourite books. They highlight the good stuff and place it into context - in the show and more broadly- and don’t gloss over the not so good stuff. Very enjoyable
Beer bad... No beer good! When I thought I had every angle & viewpoint on Buffy thoroughly mulled over these guys came along. The perfect balance of wit & wisdom. Hell (mouth) yeah!

The show offers spoiler-light discussions of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, with a playful mix of humor, nostalgia, and sharp analysis. Conversations frequently center on character motivations, narrative twists, and season-long arcs, often weaving in personal anecdotes from the hosts' artistic backgrounds and friendship. The format breezes between high-level critique and offhand storytelling, making it accessible yet thoughtful for fans and newcomers alike. A standout trait is the hosts' ability to balance reverence for the material with frank, sometimes blunt, critique, creating a vibe that's smart, entertaining, and welcoming to a wide audience.
