I watched Ariel and Raeleen in the ‘old school’ YouTube days, and this podcast is such a reliable nostalgic feeling. I no longer read the same types of books as they do (I’m a fantasy girl, they’re more literary) but that doesn’t stop this from being my go-to podcast. Highly recommended if you want to get to know these two and have companions through your day. I have read so many books that I heard about on your pod! They have all been amazing. I have many more on my TBR. I love you both. I love your rapport and I love your love of books!
Great bookish pod!
Currently listening to #65 and I’m terrified of catching up, reaching the latest episode and having to wait a week for the next one.
Two best friends discuss books. They make each other laugh, recommend fresh and diverse books, are Canadians, play Stardew Valley, and truly brought back to life my reading habit. Love them!
Always love to hear what the gals are up to! Whether inside or outside of the book world. Really enjoyable to listen to, especially compared to some of those more scripted podcasts.

Two Canadian hosts—Ariel Bissett and Raeleen Lemay—chat about the books they've read and bought, interleaving book recommendations with life updates, travel, and behind-the-scenes Patreon news. The show blends cozy bookish banter with practical reading goals, TBRs, and frequent discussions of indie bookstores, publishing industry topics, and personal projects. A recurring strength is the warm, companionable vibe and the hosts' long-running friendship, which keeps conversations feeling like catching up with friends who share strong booksense and curiosity about culture, life, and community. Listeners can expect a steady drumbeat of book talk, occasional tangents into travel and hobbies, and a welcoming space for book lovers who enjoy persona... more
