HIV and AIDS changed the United States and the world. In this series, we reveal untold stories from the defining years of the epidemic, and we’ll consider: How could some of the pain have been avoided? Most crucial of all, what lessons can we still learn from it today? Blindspot is a co-production of The HISTORYⓇ Channel and WNYC Studios.

In this final episode, we turn to people living with HIV today — longtime survivors of a plague who, despite their pain, frustrations and desires to just be done with it, realize they can’t be done with it. These are people like Kia LaBeija, an artis... more

This podcast is a reminder that we are not learning all the lessons from history, especially when you lived through it and thought you understood what and why it happened.
Research is phenomenal and season 1 is in my view the most definitive analysis on the birth of the 9/11 attack .. host John delivers at perfect pace and with detail .. really enjoyed the show and as a UK listener this is why I seek out podcasts like this .. nothing touches this show
Remembering and telling an untold history of people who could have been forgotten. Simply brilliant and a compelling listen. A must for anyone who cares about what destruction HIV/AIDS wrought.
Excellent work here.
WNYC and the History Channel have produced a number of great podcasts, but this series does a fantastic job of taking events and providing in-depth storytelling alongside historical analysis. I have listened to all three seasons (9/11, Tulsa Race Riots, AIDS) and each have been wonderful. The use of interviews adds nuance and character to the storytelling and takes each season beyond just a categorization of events towards something much more humane.
