Our struggle was getting through the latest episode of the X-Files “My Struggle II” with our sanity intact. We consider it a historically bad episode of television, and a real disservice to long time X-Philes. The greatest and most reliable piece o... more
That certainly was an episode of the X-Files, directed and written by Chris Carter, and entitled “Babylon”. Yes, it certainly was. It also had a lot of unlikely cowboy hats, Mulder sporting giant “MUSH” and “ROOM” blinged out hardware, and some sur... more
Jim and A.Ron discuss episode 1004, “Home Again”, which is a perfectly cromulent Monster of the Week type of episode. Featuring a suitably scary, creepy, monster with a grisly M.O., it also features some fine character work with Scully, but it’s not... more
A.Ron and Jim discuss the latest episode of the X-Files, “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster”. While we agree the episode was very funny, and the best of the re-vamped series so far, we are both left a bit wanting for different reasons. A.Ron ... more
Episode 1002 entitled “Founder’s Mutation” of the X-Files miniseries is better than the premiere, but not by a wide margin, and would be considered a middling episode back in the day. The boys explore the charms of the episode, and ask what we presu... more
X-Files is back, with episode 1001, “My Struggle”. It was the best of X-Files (cool space ships! Mulder and Scully! Cancer Man!), it was the worst of X-Files (retcons galore, crazy conspiracy word salad monologues, our heroes flip flopping on their ... more
Greetings X-Philes! Jim and A.Ron begin their coverage of the six episode mini-series version of the X-Files with a bit of a preview podcast, to get the feeds primed and pumping for this weekend’s premiere. We discuss our history with the X-Files, ... more
Love these guys
These guys get me through work 😄
Bald move 👍🏻
Sorry to say I have too hard a time listening to two guys who obviously aren't die hard fans because their references aren't correct and they didn't even watch all episodes or do research.
I listen to all of their podcasts and this is another good one!
There is no point in covering this show as Carter/Fox did not want to go into the mythology the entire 6 episode run. The monster of the week episodes were always an unwatchable waste. Stll waiting for positive Americans, House of Cards, Bosch, People vs. OJ coverage that wont happen. Just cancel WD & GOT coverage just terrible shows that go on the worst all time list.
The X-files, or xfiles if you're trying to email them, are back! They break it down and build it back up like only they can. Good show and even better podcast.
I love all of the Bald Move podcasts & this one is just as entertaining as their other shows. If you watch a show they cover you should tune in, you won't be disappointed!
Jim and A. Ron always do a good job. Plus, they can be pretty funny. Even if a show is bad they always make their podcasts entertaining.
Please tell me that I didn't hear A-Ron say that there was a clip of President Obama "shucking & jiving" on the Jimmy Kimmel Show! I don't know what's worse, that it was intentional so you could say it was an "unfortunate choice of words" or that you actually did have a slip of the tongue and use a term with an origin based in racism. I'm used to the often R-rated content on Bald Move shows and don't have an issue with it because your podcasts are labeled as explicit. This just seems like a weak... more
The Bald Move team consistently delivers thorough and humorous coverage of television.
You guys do need to watch season 8 and 9, or at least catch up on what happened. CSM got blown up by missile at the end of the series finale.
Nice break down of everything. They just seem very nit picky most of the time. And for Christ sake stop comparing everything to breaking bad or the leftovers. Jim has such a hard-on for the leftovers. Getting tired of hearing about it. Just rub that thing down and talk about the shows your covering.
I've been a Bald Mover for as long as they've been casting. From Mad Men to TWD, breaking bad, The Americans (rip), Fargo and now The X-Files! I would listen to Jim and A-Ron recap episodes of Saved by the Bell: The college years so just imagine how they'll do with such a treasured part of my teenage years. It's gonna be a short run, but if you like this you'll love the rest of their content. You just might find yourself watching a show just to listen to them talk about it. Great job as ... more
As usual, Jim & A-Ron deliver a fun, insightful & funny podcast. You can't go wrong with bald move! Highly recommended
