  • WELL

He used to come on flanking Rush Limbaugh’s show in the morning. I played a game called “how long can i tolerate Bill Handel” and never made it past the 30 second mark before smashing the off car OFF button. Communist @&/$*#¥!! That was a decade ago. Now I listen to each one of his segments and the Saturday show. So either Bill has mellowed out or I have. It’s nice to hear him giggle now and know he’s happy. Good job Bill.

  • Ads and the righteous gemstones are on max. 😁

I love Amy and I love Neil but the way they present news is as if they’re reading it for the first time. And thads annoying sometimes. Or maybe it’s me and it’s hard to follow the flow . 😂 but I can also tell when Bill just wants to get it over with and tell us the story. I can hear it lol

I love this show and have been listening for over 20 years. But since Bill started working from home, we can hear him pounding on his desk and it is driving me bonkers!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

‘Tech Tuesday’ with Rich DeMuro | Mamdani Sued Over Municipal Grocery Stores
Q: Okay, let me ask you this because I know you're not into the financial world like you are in the tech world, but the amount of money that's being spent on AI, the investments are so insane. Does that make sense?
Yes, it's a high-stakes race where companies are pouring money into data centers, models, and talent to secure leading AI capabilities, but the payoff is uncertain and could hinge on finding a sustainable ROI amid competing open-source options and variable market demand.
‘Tech Tuesday’ with Rich DeMuro | Millennials and Minivans
Q: Okay, so without further ado, the new Samsung foldables, what do you think now that you've had a chance to test them?
They're the first time in seven years that I could wholly recommend them; Samsung offers three models—the Flip, the Fold 8, and the Fold 8 Ultra—with the Fold 8 being the sweet spot for most people due to its balance of size, usability, and features, though price remains a hurdle for the average consumer.
‘Tech Tuesday’ with Rich DeMuro | Garbage Trucks are Spying on You
Q: What impact do Chinese AI models have on the US tech landscape, especially for large incumbents like Google and OpenAI?
The guest notes that open-sourcing and lower costs in Chinese models could shift demand away from expensive, filtered offerings, potentially forcing American companies to rethink pricing and partnerships while developers worldwide might adopt cheaper alternatives.
‘Tech Tuesday’ with Rich DeMuro | Garbage Trucks are Spying on You
Q: Can you explain how Samsung's unpacked events influence consumer expectations for foldable devices?
Rich explains the global approach to unveiling foldables, comparing different models (clamshell vs. book-style) and how competition with Apple could accelerate what consumers see in terms of design and features.
Disney's Original Imagineer Bob Gurr
Q: What drew you to this project and how did you approach capturing Bob Gurr's story visually?
Frank Woodward discusses initiating the project after discussions with Bob and his team, and emphasizes asking open-ended questions, staying observant, and designing the film structure with beginning, middle, and end in mind while remaining flexible during interviews.
