  • Open and honest

I love this podcast - as a fellow business owner it’s really nice to read about the highs and lows of business and to hear someone speak so openly and candidly - it can feel very lonely being a business owner when business is all online so it feels like a little friend in my pocket!

  • Game changer! 🙌🏼🧡

It may sound hyperbolic but Game Changer could even ben an understatement - listening to this pod and learning through the generous way Britt shares the unfiltered details of what it really takes to run a business has been incredible! I selected the ‘unplayed’ filter on ‘Big Business’ pod and have worked my way through every single episode. Thank you for this gift, it has made me feel so seen and connected to someone else walking this road and keeping me smiling and laughing my way through it.... more

  • My new favorite podcast

I recently started a product based business and have been wanting to share everything I’ve learned in an authentic way bc I felt like there was a huge “gap in the market” of people taking about the realities of starting a business…but not anymore!!! Brittney is my hero and I am so inspired by her sharing ALL THE THINGS business in a real and authentic way. I’ve listened to all the episodes and my only complaint is that I wish she put episodes out more often!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

I'm closing down my business (not clickbait)
Q: What would be your advice to someone thinking about opening a hospitality business given rising costs?
Be prepared to actually operate the business yourself or pay yourself little initially, recognize hospitality is among the most expensive sectors due to perishables and fixed costs, and carefully assess long-term commitments and true costs before expanding.
Should I be deleting negative comments about my business?
Q: What has been a shock in the industry side of things, and how do you view competition versus collaboration?
Competition is pervasive across all industries, but collaboration can be more productive; supporting others can expand opportunities and inspire through examples like other fashion brands achieving aspirational goals.
Should I be deleting negative comments about my business?
Q: How would you handle a video going viral with a wave of hate and negative comments?
Delete hate comments using platform filters, block offenders, and consider clapping back only if it serves a constructive purpose; otherwise move on to focus on new content and followers who support you.
Revealing all the programs & systems we use to run Fayt
Q: I have a Big Business question. What do you guys use for HR in terms of things like up to date employment contracts, handbooks, and the million forms that come with managing staff?
We use Worknice as our HR software to automate people operations, store contracts and policies, and integrate with payroll, with Deputy handling rostering and Xero for accounting; Connect Team serves as our internal communications hub, and Milanote supports planning and creative work.
I have been personally called out!!!
Q: Are brands using the term viral to push a product? I feel like I'm seeing things launch with wording like our most wanted viral piece, etc.
Yes, brands often use viral as a selling point, but it should reflect actual performance; it's misleading to claim viral for something that hasn't genuinely resonated. The term can retain meaning when used only for items that have truly gone viral or performed exceptionally well, backed by data such as rapid sales, large engagement, and quick sell-outs.
