All good things come to an end, and - for now - this is the end of one of our favourite things we've ever done. Over 154 episodes we've laughed, cried, annoyed people, made friends and given you our honest thoughts on Marillion - and this episode has... more
Hello, BYAMtches. Well, it’s the final part of our look at Marillion's F.E.A.R. plus… a big announcement at the end that we know some of you will be saddened by. Alas, this is the final regular episode of BYAMPOD. We've had a good run, but we feel no... more

A superb podcast. About far more than Marillion and far more than music. I’m actually only a fan of Fish era Marillion but I still enjoy every episode, even the ones where the big man comes under some fire. This is probably my most eagerly anticipated podcast each week and that is not because I am desperate for Marillion content, it is because Paul and Sanja are genuinely funny and make for compelling, addictive listening. Please keep going.
What happened to this show? I was hoping that they’d, at least, make it through listening to the catalog.
I rally wanted to listen to this podcast and go back and listen to all the back episodes but the mental abuse directed to the wife is intolerably. As a 40+ year fan of Marillion I was happy to find a podcast to bring me back to the joy of listening to the music but constantly mentally abusing a spouse is not fun or funny or enjoyable.
I tried.
I came across this podcast purely by accident and thought I’d have a listen to the views on the Fish-era albums having fallen in love with Marillion back in early ‘85.
I end up listening to all the content over the subsequent weeks and months to the point where I caught up. As bizarre as some of the humour and comments are Sanya and her husband - laughing man (forgot his name) have become podcast friends to my ears and, even though I am still struggling with a lot of H’s lyrics, the insight ha... more
I love Marillion and was really looking forward to delving into this chat on my fav band. However, the male host is excruciating. If someone needs a definition of “mansplaining” then get them to listen to this. Lives sound of his own voice, his opinions are the only ones that matter to him eg H era singles where regularly tells female host she is wrong, or “shut up”, etc etc
If you like Marillion, put on Apple Music and enjoy.

A thoughtful, long-running deep-dive into a classic progressive rock catalog, with a married couple exploring Marillion's releases track by track. The show blends reverent fan analysis with personal storytelling, humor, and candid reactions to both beloved and controversial material. Across episodes, listeners hear nuanced discussions of-era evolution, lyrical themes, and the band's changing lineup and style, often anchored by strong host chemistry and a willingness to tackle provocative topics. A standout element is the duo's openness about their journeys as fans—one a longtime devotee and the other a relative newcomer—creating a welcoming environment for both newcomers and seasoned fans. The format's consistency, guest moments, and willin... more
