As someone who just joined Matt’s blog (do it this month and you can get Mike as well for six months), I totally forgot to give a review. We have insiders who don’t themselves too seriously and interpret the NFL news for the fans. If you want to sample their written content, this show gives you a good primer.
I have been following Mike Tanier since his days at the NY Times. I enjoyed his game previews more than the games themselves! His sense of humour and wit are unmatched and Matt is the perfect complement with his numerous insider sources.
And the regular season, and the post season, too.

This is one of my favorite football podcasts, and the only one I never miss. The balance between what Mike and Matt provide in analysis and their perspectives is very unique. Especially recommended if you're local to the Northeast, but everyone can enjoy!
I’ve followed Tanier across his many journalistic stops up to and including being a paying subscriber to his Substack because for my money he’s the best at blending, stats, humor, and common sense when analyzing the NFL. And now that I’ve gotten to know Lombardo, I appreciate his knowledge and his humanity.
