  • Don’t be fooled by the title!

There is a reason that this is in the Government section as really is it’s analysis of an ever evolving political landscape by 3 people at the upper end of there fields a Professional gambler, Horseracing broadcaster and a Head of Politics betting as bookmaking group. Yes there is plenty of talk of betting but what makes it enjoyable for me is to don’t have to agree with what the say but they explain why they come to their opinions and you can repurpose that and use it in other markets and fie... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Clacton: Time to put the Lid on Binface?
Q: How might Count Binface fare relative to Farage and the fringe candidates?
Binface is expected to collect a small but non-trivial portion of the vote, potentially in the low thousands collectively across all fringe candidates, with Binface's own tally potentially around 4,000-5,000 if turnout and dispersion align as modeled.
Clacton: Time to put the Lid on Binface?
Q: What is the likely turnout for the Clacton by-election and how would that impact Farage's share?
Turnout around 30% is suggested, which would constrain overall vote totals; Farage could still exceed 12,000 votes, potentially landing in the 14-15k range depending on fringe-vote dynamics.
Playing the Burnham Bounce, ft. Patrick Jay
Q: Is the market pricing Burnham to win outright, or is there more nuance to be considered?
The hosts, with Patrick, discuss how prices have shifted from early optimism to more nuanced expectations, considering potential leadership and by-election outcomes.
Playing the Burnham Bounce, ft. Patrick Jay
Q: Right, shall we introduce our guest?
Patrick Jay is introduced as a former insider with deep experience in labor politics and betting, bringing an insider's view to the Labour dynamic and market pricing.
Could Labour Skip to the Lou?
Q: How likely is a leadership change within the near term?
He suggests it is highly likely there will be some leadership challenge, with Angela Rayner described as a leading contender, though internal party dynamics and membership pressure complicate the path to leadership.
