  • Don’t be fooled by the title!

There is a reason that this is in the Government section as really is it’s analysis of an ever evolving political landscape by 3 people at the upper end of there fields a Professional gambler, Horseracing broadcaster and a Head of Politics betting as bookmaking group. Yes there is plenty of talk of betting but what makes it enjoyable for me is to don’t have to agree with what the say but they explain why they come to their opinions and you can repurpose that and use it in other markets and fie... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Could Labour Skip to the Lou?
Q: How likely is a leadership change within the near term?
He suggests it is highly likely there will be some leadership challenge, with Angela Rayner described as a leading contender, though internal party dynamics and membership pressure complicate the path to leadership.
Could Labour Skip to the Lou?
Q: What's your understanding of what today's Labour Party is?
Jeremy Gilbert explains that Starmer Labour represents a network of professional Labour politicians and union interests, formed to protect their positions, rather than a coherent ideological program, with internal party dynamics and NEC power central to its operation.
The Rupert Lowe Interview
Q: Presuming you can win an overall majority, how do you plan to translate that into governance?
Lowe emphasizes building a broad, policy-driven platform with a strong ground game, stressing that their approach is to govern in the interests of ordinary British people and to pursue radical change through clearly articulated documents and policies.
W(h)ither the Tories?
Q: Do you think Kemi Badenock will make the next election?
The host and guests discuss an unlikely rapid change, with the timing hinging on leadership challenges and local election outcomes rather than a sudden, unquestioned transfer of power. Market chatter suggests uncertainty about the leadership timeline but a general expectation that a change could come in the near term.
Making Plans for Nigel
Q: How might Jenrick's possible leadership affect Reform's prospects?
Jenrick could push the Conservatives further to the right or provoke a realignment of voters; Reform would need to respond with credibility on taxation and energy policy to attract voters who might otherwise drift toward the Tories or Labour.
