The Most Underestimated Profession? - Chithra Marsh | RIBA Elections
Q: What is the biggest opportunity for architects over the next decade?
Building connections with communities and people, fostering a sustainable future for the profession, and countering the reductive narratives about architecture by showcasing its accessibility and societal value.
The Most Underestimated Profession? - Chithra Marsh | RIBA Elections
Q: If you could focus the profession's attention on one thing over the next five years, what would it be?

The Most Underestimated Profession? - Chithra Marsh | RIBA Elections
Q: What experiences in your career have brought you here, and also giving you the thought to run for RIBA president?
Chithra describes a long history of advocacy for the profession, mentoring, and building networks regionally and nationally, with a belief that leadership can strengthen an inclusive, connected community within RIBA.
How to Plot Your Own Path In Architecture - Selasi Setufe MBE
Q: When did you stop trying to fit into the traditional architecture path and start building your own career and platforming it?
I began shifting during part two of my studies, realized the system wasn't accommodating my background, and sought mentorship and alternative routes. This led to working with Elsie Owusu, starting my own consultancy, and eventually creating spaces like Be First and later influencing broader policy through the GLA, which allowed me to scale impact from local to borough-wide to city-wide levels.
What I Learned Starting A Design Studio (Without a Degree) - Mitch Jones
Q: Do you need a design degree to run a design business?
You don't; surround yourself with people who do, and build a team that complements your skills while avoiding the trap of relying on buzzwords like circle back.
